NOT Mrs. Chili!!!
From the NPR site:
Challenge from February 25: Take the 13-letter word “Melancholiacs,” add the letter “R,” then re-arrange all the letters to name a famous actress. Who is it?
Answer: Cloris Leachman
Winner: Jeffrey Vieira from Brooklyn, N.Y.
Sigh. I’m working on this week’s puzzle, which is:
Name something to eat in two words, with seven letters in each word. All the letters in the first word are in the first half of the alphabet, A to M. All the letters in the second word are in the second half of the alphabet, N to Z.
It’s something good to eat, and the answer is plural. And here’s a hint: the initials of the two words are A.S.
This one makes me wonder, though - what, exactly, does “good to eat” mean? Does it mean it’s “good for you”? Does it mean it’s yummy? We can’t all agree on what “good” food is - Tense Teacher and Kizz could both live on sushi, for example, whereas I would be dead if that were my diet. Regardless, I’m going to see if I can come up with two seven letter words to answer this puzzle, and maybe I’ll get called this week….

OK, want to know something super weird? And I am totally telling the truth you can ask my health insurance company. That guy who won? My primary care physician. Also, Meredith Vieira’s brother.
I totally believe you - he said he’s a doctor when they asked him what he did for a living.
