I have nothing of substance to offer you today. I’m feeling a little tired, and not quite unwell, but not great, either, so I’m giving you a couple of random bits from my day. Hopefully, I’ll be more like myself tomorrow.
**I woke up this morning with the O’Jay’s “She Used to be My Girl” in my head, and I’ve been humming it - externally and internally - all day. I have NO idea how it got there, but there it most undeniably is. May I just say here how much I LOVE iTunes? I went online and bought the song for 99 cents this afternoon. It’s so worth the buck.
**I made chicken, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches for dinner tonight. Used the leftover chicken I’d fried for last night’s dinner, and I have to say again just how much I LOVE eating a chicken dinner between two slices of toast.
**We watched The Sentinel last night. I was disappointed. The story wasn’t really all that compelling, the acting felt stiff and unconvincing, and I found myself glad that I spent three bucks on the rental and not eight (or more) to see it in the theatres. Deja Vu comes out a week from Tuesday, and I’m looking forward to renting that one. We wanted to see it in the theatres, but it went by us so fast that we didn’t get a chance. Seeing films on the big screen has become a “you snooze, you lose” proposition around here - they’re only around for a week or so before they’re gone again.
**We’re supposed to get weather tonight into tomorrow. The problem is, exactly what we’re going to see from this storm is anybody’s guess. NPR is saying “significant accumulations are possible” through our area, and I’ve heard the words “five to ten inches possible” used in describing the outcome. The Weather Channel is saying it’s going to be mostly rain with some sleet or snow mixed in and no one is even mentioning accumulations. The local news station is saying “snow, heavy at times, mixing with rain or freezing rain later in the day,” but they’re not mentioning how much, either. I’m going to go on the assumption that no (accumulation) news is good news, and that this coming system isn’t going to screw too badly with my plans for tomorrow.
Well, that’s about it. Pathetic, I know, but we can’t all be “on” all the time, now, can we?
Happy Wednesday, All. I’m off to crawl into my pajamas….

In common weatherman style, there seem to be conflicts. I just checked and it’s not supposed to start up here until tomorrow afternoon! I want that job. I’m wrong most of the time anyway, why not get paid for it?
