I assume you refer to the TV show I’ve seen advertised. I’ve never seen it. Hopefully, I can say, without seeming snippy or otherwise, that I never watch the new breed of “game” shows. I also don’t watch reality shows or sitcoms. That said, I don’t think we get “smarter” as we get older. However “smart” we are is a genetic gift, in my opinion. We learn more stuff (as noted my meno), and hopefully acquire a basis for decision-making, but I don’t think we get “smarter.”
So, with all that, I think I can “outsmart” anybody not past 10th grade.
I’ve not see the show, either, Gerry - I refuse to participate in the current fad of game and reality t.v. that just serves to undermine our culture. I found the quiz on a site, and I thought it looked interesting.
My problem with the fifth grader isn’t so much SMART as it is ATTITUDE. Sigh. Welcome to the pre-teen years, I suppose…
