Ten burning questions:
1. How, exactly, DID those pyramids get built?
2. What really happened to Jimmy Hoffa?
3. Was there a gunman on the grassy knoll?
4. Are there really aliens, and did they land at Roswell?
5. While we’re at it, what’s up with crop circles?
6. If we can hurt ourselves in a split second, why does it take so frickin’ long to heal - if, of course, we ever heal at all?
7. When I see a something - let’s say the color I’ve been trained to refer to as “blue” - are you seeing the same thing I’m seeing? Is it possible that you’re seeing the color I’ve been trained to call “yellow,” but that you’ve been trained to call “blue”? Do you hear the same things I do, or is my reality entirely a figment of my own design?
8. Scientists say that we can only use about 1/10 of our brain. What could we do if we could access that other 90%?
9. What is the nature of the Universe? Is there an “edge” to space? If so, what’s on the other side of that edge?
10. Why the hell can’t we all figure out how to get along and treat each other with love and dignity?

1. Lots of really busy ants.
2. Extended vacation with Jim Morrison.
3. On a blanket, no less.
4. And they’re still there.
5. Grass gets bored too.
6. To make us appreciate it all the more???
7. Ooooohhhhh. Don’t make me think so early in the morning. (I’ve actually pondered that same thought a few times).
8. Teleportation????
9. I thought we answered that in one of the Star Trek movies (I think it was IV).
10. When we decide it’s no fun to be such d****s to other people.
I’ve often wondered about #7, too!
C’mon! Do you really think we’d buy into #7 being blue?
You trickster you.
Ponderables… the # 5 photo would make a great tattoo…

HI mrschili,
Good random questions..
#1 answered here..
I am totally convinced that the pyramids were built by way of wind power. Many of the hieroglyphs show many men holding onto ropes (lines for the nautical bunch) that are attached to block and tackle devices. Think about it. The Egyptians were sailors and they understood wind power and the ideas of lift and loss. The theory is that they rigged up the big blocks and using wind power and blocks and tackle, were able to lift blocks into place. Currently, the idea has been used to raise pre-formed concrete walls and ceilings into place for basic housing structures in the Andes. It could have worked that way. It’s been studied that blocks of granite weighing several tons can be moved and placed in this way in less than 10 mph winds..got to thank those Egyptians..they had a thought process and applied science agenda for sure.
#2 He’s dead, buried under concrete.. Unlike Whitey Bulger..just as crooked but not so dead..that’s Massachusetts politics for you. The guy even won a Megabucks lottery after he “died”. And I presume he collected on it.
#3, Yes. I believe totally in gov’t conspiracy..always have and always will. If THEY are reading this, I’m the next one dead.
#4..yep, they were republicans, the gene pool looks like that still.
#4A..OR they were gay democrats and still not accepted into the mainstream of the desert Southwest. But then, they all look like Grace Jones..I like it, but most people may not.
#5, agreed, great tattoo
#6, we get older, we heal slower..the message would be to not fall down as much and to quit doing stupid things on ladders.
Re: falling down:take up Tai Chi, if you fall down, you’ll be better at it and won’t get hurt..trust me, a voice of experience..
#7 Can we ever learn how to express ourselves in terms of tactile experiences? This will take some work. “Blue” makes me feel “this way” Dark Blue makes me feel this “way”..and how do each of those terms make you feel? I want to hear..how does it feel? This color makes me feel…..? When do we each see colors? Talk with a friend that is blind..colors have a feeling we decide for ourselves. They are all “right”. Colors are a language we have to discern..
This question is beyond “does my tie match?” I dream, sleep, and live in colors that mean something to me. I hope everybody else does as well. Yours work well for you and I totally don’t expect them to be the same as mine. Isn’t that diversity?
#8 1/10 of my brain? oh my god..I’d never sleep!
#9, what’s over the edge is more edge..let’s all sing “The Bear Went Over the Mountain..”..it is true!
#10..because religion gets in the way of everything. ..it is the thing that divides. Always. Get that stuff out of the picture and then..HEY! we have a dialog.
Great blog, I love reading and sometime sharing. I got here through Fran and the Notes from the UP and Mr. Wayfarer. You know he’s got the good stuff.
Thanks for posting your blog.
You know, Mrs. C., I think Dennis Miller is to me what “The Hunt for Red October” is to you, because I can think of a Miller quote for almost any situation. For example, in regards to your Question #7:
“I don’t mind drugs so much as I mind the people you have to get high with. We’ve all had this happen - you’re sitting there on your third joint of some incredibly potent Sao Paulo northslope tripweed (you know - the kind the guys at Amtrak smoke) when the guy next to you passes you a joint and gives you this:
‘Hey, listen, man, how do I know that this whole planet isn’t just , like, an electron in a whole other atom?’
(said with a flat “what-the-fuck-is-wrong-with-you-look) ‘You wanna get the hell outta here with that kinda talk, Freud? I’m HIGH! I don’t need this Kung-Fu shit right now, OK, Grasshopper?’
‘How do I know what the color blue to you is the color blue to me?’
‘Yeah, check the crayon box, asshole, all right? I’m fucking high over here! What do I look like, NOVA, for Chrissake?’”
Falcon, I had a science teacher in high school who proposed the whole electron theory. I wasn’t even getting high and that blew my mind….
