It’s National De-Lurking Day!
I’m HAPPY it’s National De-Lurking day, too. My comments have been going down lately, and it’s starting to bug me.
I know everyone’s busy, but it really doesn’t take that long to fire off a quick “hey, I’m reading out here; you’re not just talking to yourself!” comment…
Most of us do this blogging thing because we love the interaction: it’s not so much that we’re putting our words out there for everyone to see; it’s that we’re putting our words out there to start a dialog. One of the MOST satisfying things about blogging for me is the interaction I get with my readers - and watching you all interact with each other. I learn from you all, and I look forward to seeing new comments on my posts. If no one comments, no one learns!
So, just for today, chime in and say hello. Then, go to someone else’s blog - maybe one you’ve been reading but have never commented on, and introduce yourself. It’ll make everyone feel good!

I didn’t know it was possible to pout in blog format but you just did!
I say don’t comment just for today, make today the first day of a new habit of commenting!
You know I am here! Even when I am busy beyond belief, I find time to read blogs!
Yes, Kizz, I did pout. Thanks for noticing!
Seester, I DO know you’re there and I DO understand what ‘busy’ is like; our new term started yesterday, so trust me - I know…
“hey, I’m reading out here; you’re not just talking to yourself!”
I’ve been lazy in my commenting, sorry. I’ll try harder! I know how much I love getting comments, so I’ll get back to returning the favor.
Much love…
I’ve been swamped and frustrated by colleagues, but what else is new
Thanks for the heads up on this!
Hello! GO SOX!
Wow, you sure are bossy. You act like a teacher, or somethin’. *wink*
Hi there! No lurker, but a frequent commenter.
Hey, mrschili
I check your blog everyday and would miss it if you weren’t writing.
I don’t blog so have no understanding of what equates to proper commenting versus commenting far too often.
I agree, you aren’t just talking to yourself.
Evening, Mrs. C.
I admit I’m not great about commenting but I am a regular reader.
And I swiped your “Me Too” badge.
While I’m here, I thought I would tag you for a meme.
what if this is as good as it gets?: 5 “me” meme

Hey! I’ve still been lurking about, but I am dutifully delurking. Or perhaps redelurking, as I once previous delurked.
Well, Hell. I had no idea it was de-lurking day. Here I am, delurking a day late! Sorry!
As Contrary said, a day late but I’m delurking.
If I commented on you blog more than I do, I’d have to be a guest blogger!
I’m tragically bad with checking blogs. Without some sort of feed to deliver posts in one easily-checked list per day I never, ever read most posts when they are actually put up. I wander through my blog circles a couple times a week (usually when procrastinating homework), but because at least several days have passed since many posts I usually don’t comment. I always feel guilty for how frequently you comment on mine and how rarely I say anything on yours!
Really, I’m a bit phobic of communication in general, especially public communication. I should probably work on making every day Feather De-Lurking Day — might get me talking in class more.
