In honor of Thanksgiving….
I am grateful:
• that so many good people think that I am worthy of their love and friendship.
• for a family of my own choosing, who love and respect and honor one another.
• that I and the people I care about enjoy good health.
• that we have enough money to live comfortably.
• that I have an inquisitive mind and the resources - and friends and colleagues - to challenge it.
• that I have a job which I love and which makes a difference in peoples’ lives.
• that I have the means and the opportunity to express myself through writing, and that I have the ability to appreciate - and learn from - others’ efforts in their writing.
• that I can recognize beauty and truth when I see it.
• that I had the strength and support to break out of an abusive situation, and that I have the strength and support to continue to resist the effects that situation still has on me.
• that love and kindness are the dominant structures in my life - and I’m grateful for all the people who bring them to me so joyfully and abundantly.

Oh, yeah, well this is a very good idea for a 10things. Oops. Wish I’d thought of that.
I’m grateful for you, too. Happy Turkey!
Aw, hell, I’m grateful for the both of ya. Group hug!
I’m looking forward to Turkey Day, mostly for the parade. I have to get everything done before the parade so Pooter and I can watch it together.
I love em at this age, before they get too cool to watch the parade. I never got too cool, myself, but I’m sure that surprises no one.
I’m thankful that you’re the kind of soul who uses photo credits. Your implementation of asteya warms my heart.
(did that sound like I was being flip? because I totally wasn’t. you rock.)
For those of you who may not know, the concept of “asteya” is of non-stealing. It’s a call for people to be mindful of the many ways that we “steal” from each other - energetically, physically, mentally/intellectually, emotionally. It means more than just not slipping that pack of gum into your pocket; it means honoring the work that others do and being aware of NOT taking that which doesn’t rightfully belong to you - regardless of what “THAT” may be.
And Liv, I never for a moment read that as flip. Thank you for the compliment - I try to live my perfect life as closely as possible. I recognize it’s FAR from perfect, but that doesn’t stop me from striving for it, anyway…
I am grateful for you.
So very grateful.
What a wonderful post and great reminder that mindfulness, and appreciating the work of others -and acknowledging it - is so important. I am very grateful for your presence in my life.
Happy Turkey Day to you and yours!
Very nice! It’s things like this that we all need to think about.
Very nice gratitude list. I need to get crackin’ on my own.
Since the first time I read your blog ( by way of Wayfarer), I knew that your blog was about honor and courage and honesty. Nothing else would suffice.
Thanks,
I love honesty and integrity, wherever they get to rear their lovely little heads.

Hey, I appreciate you!
I don’t comment every day, the yoga stuff is just beyond me–meaning I know nothing about it.
