Ten Things Tuesday

The Anniversary Edition!

I did a little investigation about Ten Things Tuesday last week. My friend, colleague, and new blogger Naked Messenger was asking about the feature, so I went back to investigate some of the entries and to see how long I’ve been doing it.

It turns out that I started Ten Things Tuesday in my old blog on December 5th, 2006 with the first ten items in my “100 Things About Me” list. I’ve yet to finish that list; when I do, I’ll put it up next to my “100 Songs”page. Anyway, I’ve been perusing my year’s worth of Ten Things Tuesdays, and I offer you these ten items as a sampling of some of the fun I’ve had compiling my weekly lists:

1. This may be one of my favorite Ten Things Tuesday lists. It’s ten reasons why I’m an out advocate of GLBTQ rights.

2. A lot of people seemed to have a lot of fun with this list of ten great movie quotes. The answer key is here.

3. Here’s my list of top ten favorite song remakes. This one generated a lot of interest, and I’ve used this list to burn several CDs for friends who’ve asked.

4. Sometimes, the lists are about reflecting on what I’ve learned….

5. …and sometimes, they’re just about venting.

6. I’ve had lists about things I don’t understand (and which work out to MORE than ten things)…

7. …and lists about questions I hope I get the answers to when I die.

8. I’ve even had lists devoted to great quotes from books I’ve read.

9. Through Ten Things Tuesday, you’ve had a glimpse of stuff stuck to my fridge…

10. …and of ten things that can be found in my little black VW Golf.
