So, Beanie’s appointment went well. Her doctor is lovely and put us immediately at ease (though, as I say, my “mommy radar” hasn’t gone off about any of this, so I wasn’t particularly uneasy to begin with). There were a zillion questions about family history, she talked to Beanie about what she eats (or doesn’t eat) and about how she sleeps, poops, and plays. When the questions were over, she got a full check-up, then got carefully measured - along with her dad and me - had her hand x-rayed, and was nearly drained of blood and pee for examination.
Then, we three went to Bertucci’s for lunch.
The doctor doesn’t seem particularly concerned, though she did think there was cause enough for all the tests. We’ll know in about a month or so what all the results are; we’re scheduled for a follow-up at the end of January, and I’ll tell you then what the story is. I’m still not worried, though it will be good to know that there’s nothing to actually worry about.
I wanted to post to tell you all of that, plus I wanted to share this picture with you. I gave a bunch of photos to Organic Mama to scan for me, and this came in an email today. I’ve titled it “The Ghost of Christmas Past.” Would you just LOOK at them! HOLY CRAP!

What an adorable picture!
Yay Beanie!
Thanks for the picture.
