Thank goodness your father-in-law did not listen to his wife’s protests and took her to the emergency room. I have good vibes that she will be fine - the hard part for her will be the healing process.

It depends on her age and a lot of other factors (what docs call co-morbidities) but in general I don’t fear the inferior MI (this sounds like what they are referring to) as much as the left anterior descending or the dreaded left main. (known in bluegrass as the “widow maker” They could also mean lateral, but that is not usually as bad as LAD or Left Main either.

Of course, there is no good heart attack, and again depending on her age and other things, I am sure you have plenty of legitimate reason for concern.

I am visiting with my son today, maybe when I get back you’ll have a note that says she’s been moved to a telemetry or step down unit- always a sign the Docs are less worried.

Tell mama chili you’ve got Docs all over the country praying for her and thinking of her- can’t ever hurt.

So sorry to hear about all of this. I sure hope she is okay. I had something very similar happen to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. He’s good as new now, but it was pretty scary for a while.
