What I was doing 10 years ago:
Ten years ago this month, I had a 10 month old baby and was rockin’ it as a stay-at-home mom. We had settled nicely into a routine (Punkin’ Pie FINALLY started sleeping through the night at about 10 months old) and Mr. Chili and I decided, once we started getting regular sleep, that it might not be so bad to have another child. I was pregnant with Beanie ten years ago in June…
Five Snacks I would enjoy in a perfect, non weight-gaining world (Chili’s note; pshaw! I enjoy these in THIS world!)
1. Honey mustard pretzel bits.
2. Trader Joe’s dark chocolate covered dried cherries.
3. Doritos
4. lightly salted almonds and dried cherries (yes, I like dried cherries very much).
5. Special K cereal bites – the strawberry or vanilla varieties.
In the real world? (Chili’s note – since I answered about snacks before (and I’m not much of a snacker), I’m going to change this answer to foods I like in general):
1. Pizza – especially my own, made with a Boboli crust, roasted garlic paste, caramelized onions and fresh mozzarella cheese. YUM!
2. Vanilla yogurt with oats-and-honey granola.
3. Lemon chicken made with really good white wine and a little too much lemon juice.
4. Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream (it’s almost time to start buying ice cream again!)
5. I’ve been jonesing for Macaroni Grille’s Chicken Scaloppine for ages, but there’s not a restaurant in my area…
Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1. Hire a good lawyer and create an anonymous foundation from which I would make donations to worthwhile humanitarian causes, pay for my friends’ mortgages, my mother’s cancer treatment, and my nephews’ college educations.
2. Finish the work on the house; siding, new bathroom, landscaping.
3. Go on vacation – first to Bermuda, then to Great Britian.
4. Keep my job (or, at least, keep working. TCC is closing and no, I wouldn’t buy it).
5. Live as though I were still only making my teacher’s salary
Five jobs that I have had:
1. Nanny/babysitter
2. Waitress (in a Pizza Hut through high school, and in various local restaurants after that).
3. Bank customer service representative, then bank teller.
4. Gas station attendant/cashier (I hated this job)
5. Teacher
Three of my habits:
1. Procrastination.
2. Writing.
3. Reading.
Five place I have traveled (I changed this question – it originally read “five places I’ve lived” but that’s not very exciting, since I’ve never lived more than about 70 miles from where I was born)
1. Huntsville, Alabama!
2. Yellowstone Park, Jackson, Wyoming.
3. Williamsburg, Virginia
4. Duck, North Carolina
5. Sanibel Island, Florida
(I added this question) Five things that can be found in/on my bedside table:
1. A glass dragonfly
2. Bookmarks, pens, and post-it notes
3. A love note from Beanie (addressed to “Mommy, upstairs bedroom”)
4. Lip balm and cuticle cream
5. The charger stand for my iPhone
Happy Monday, Everyone!

Cookiemaker and I (and everybody else on the planet, I’m sure) have done the “What if we were rich?” thing god knows how many times. Basically it boils down to this:
* pay off all our debt
* make the necessary arrangements to make sure that no matter what tragedy occurred, the survivor(s) would be financially set for life without the deceased
* pay for Little Man’s post-high school education
* buy our dream property and build our dream home
* give to various charities (which would include offering to pay off all of our friends’ and families’ debts)
* travel (got to get back to England, want to go to other places in Europe – Germany, Italy, want to go to Australia and New Zealand, and Cookimaker wants to drag me to Alaska and – get this – ANTARTICA!)
I can’t get into this Me, Me, but it was worth the price of reading it to read Beanie wrote you a note addressed to “Mommy, upstairs bedroom.”
I just had (have) such a sentimental reaction to that.
you and your food! love it!
I enjoyed reading your meme
We share the same habits, so we would be great room mates-of course we’d never get any shit done and would fight over snacks but all in all, I think it would work.
I’m stealing! *whistles and slinks away*
