F-F Friday
April 18, 2008 by mrschili
Since we here in New England still don’t have any flowers to speak of just yet, I’m posting a shot that I took last summer.
I’m pretty sure this is some kind of clematis, and I’m 100% sure that I didn’t take this picture in my own yard. It seemed like such a sunny and happy little flower, though, that I couldn’t not snap a shot.
I hope you all have a great Friday!

That is beautiful!
so it would or would not help if i told you that there were loads of flowers in my yard? i’m not clear…
I could do with a cheerful flower or two chez moi
Oh! Thanks for reminding me. And in such a beautiful way.
I think spring has finally popped here. Buds on the trees and flowers starting to bloom. I think it is supposed to hit the 70’s today.
I think “clematis” sound like a venereal disease. That flower needs a better name, but I’m not the guy to name it- my ideas all sound filthy too.
It is a happy looking flower. It made me happy.
I’ve got ONE measly daffodil, so thanks for the happy flower, getting us ready for the dazzling flowers to come. Well, eventually.
I love red flowers, so do the hummingbirds. I don’t have clematis but will try some morning glorys around the mail box and newspaper boxes this year. The morning glories might look prettier than crabgrass. We aren’t big into gardens here. We hire help to rescue ourselves from ourselves.
We have gardens, my OBE buys bulbs and then neglects them. I help with that. Really, OBE is a turf person. We try to tend the gardens but we have a friend Super M that helps us out. We love Super M.
Super M whips our woe be gone flower beds into shape. I wish she did house cleaning as well. She probably does do house cleaning, she is the dream machine of “save time, see it my way”. We love that about her.
I am ready for some of my flowers to bloom, but, of course, the snow tonight doesn’t help. Thanks for sharing.
I have a daffodil blooming and a couple of tulips. Spring is getting here. Except for the snow.
We don’t have flowers in our Cape Cod yard yet. We have not planted early bloomers because we aren’t usually here to see them. The builder put in two lilacs, which are huge now, and we hope passersby enjoy seeing them in bloom, we never have. They have plenty of buds now.
You flower pic is dandy.
Beautiful flower, but it’s a dahlia.
