A more interesting slant on the dairy cow might be "why do we humans consume milk from cows when no other species drinks milk from other s pecies. "

Freaky.

Kizz, she was going to do her speech on asthma, but she came down with pneumonia and has, as a result, a wealth of ready information.

Alison, I like teaching it, too, and I find that I'm getting better at topic-narrowing as a result of my teaching. It's still challenging, but it's getting easier.

Auntie, I'll ask and see if I can get them right on that... (not)

Mike, I'm pretty sure there IS a connection (who among us can't recite McDonald's jingles from our childhoods?) but this speech was actually the worst I've seen so far. The speaker admitted to not doing good research, and to drifting off of his main point shortly after the introduction.

Thank you, Laurie. Happy Spring to you, too!

Meno, ice cream DOES equal happy. Our inaugural outing this year included cookie dough ice cream for Beanie, soft serve twirl for Punkin' Pie, and a shared chocolate and hot fudge sundae for Mr. Chili and me.

Gerry, it IS heavy sledding, but it's a timely topic for me as I am feeling my way around in the proverbial dark with a friend who suffers from the condition. I was eager to hear what my student had to say and, though she didn't tell me anything new, she did reinforce some important things I have to keep in mind as I try to help my friend.

Depression. Heavy sledding on that topic.

Awoke today to heavy fog, vague memory of the foghorn(s) blowing all night.

The past week has been a flowering bunch of hayfever here in Happy Valley. We've been attending LU softball and have ALMOST gone to the local fresh made ice creamery for dinner (but not quite. Soon though!)
Happy Spring!

I would have wanted to know more about food ads and obesity. Is there really a connection?

I wanted to know about the cows too! Perhaps Pumkin Pie can do a bit of research for us? Ok, then, how about Bean?

Picking a topic was always hard for me--the theme of the speeches was always so broad. I enjoyed teaching public speaking.

Happy Tuesday to you, too!

Pneumonia. Wow. That's broad. Can't wait to hear how that goes. Or it could be very short. Pneumonia = Bad.
