Tree Update

Here’s what The Tree looks like today:
Didja notice it? Can you see it? That little bit of red at the bottom? Here; take a closer look:
I have NO idea how it got there, but there’s a single red tulip growing at the base of the tree. It’s the only tulip we’ve got in the yard, and it came as a complete and total surprise; none of us remembers planting it. It’s a little springtime present!
Happy Monday, Everyone!

Funny. It’s like someone knew you would appreciate a little red HELLO!!!!!
I’m so pleased to see green on the tree!!! It might soon be not-winter!
Hooray!!!
That certainly is a pleasant little surprise. If my wife lived anywhere near you, I would say she did it because we have flowers all over our yard.
Nice little touch of spring there.
That’s a lovely surprise. I would be delighted by it, too.
Mine’s up today. We had daffodils several weeks ago, pink hyacinths came up last week and the few, lone tulips the squirrels haven’t gotten are up this week, along with pink bleeding hearts. I had white ones, but they must not have wintered over. Our hostas are up like mad, as are my flox, day lilies and yarrow. I love spring!
It’s a magic tulip, the elves plant them in certain spots where there is dimensional portal!
I spent $56 in about thirty minutes at a local nursery today. I went in for one pepper plant and to attempt to identify a flowering ground cover I saw on a walk and coveted. I got the pepper plant ($4)… and some geraniums… and some marigolds… and some spikey plant with lovely dark purple blossoms… and two bushes. (I couldn’t find the ground cover but after talking to one of the local experts, I think I know what it is.) I love spring, too!
You know, nothing that Geek has ever planted and treated with tender loving care has thrived in our yard. It’s the plants that are thrown out there and forgotten that take root and grow. And aren’t they wonderful surprises?
A squirrel probably dug up the bulb from elsewhere and put it there. They love to do that!
A truly wonderful springtime surprise! Beautiful!
Love the red flower. Covet the grean on the tree. I keep telling myself it will be spring here, soooooooooon.
