It was 97 f*cking degrees here today. How's that for spring?

I love the pictures, and it makes me ache for green, lovely plants with flowers. The cacti are pretty, but it's not the same.

Different kind of tree, Auntie; I'm not sure exactly what they are, but they're blooming way ahead of what I've got in the yard (which, I think, is a kind of choke cherry). I'll post pictures of blossoms and leaves for each of the trees and see if someone smarter than us can identify them for us....

What is the tree in the first picture? There are white puff ball trees lining the street to the state hospital. They are very pretty but I have no idea what they are. They are already starting to turn green though.

Beautiful! I didn't realize forsythia was yellow. Do you give your chives a haircut and then get more?

Spring's REALLY here, right? Not kidding? No more snow days?

I had actually forgotten it was Friday. I think my brain is fried from putting rocks in the garden. We've been in the 90s this week, just brutal. We only do the work in the morning, and before noon we are sweat-soaked and exhausted.

Tomorrow (Sat.) more of the same.

Thanks for the pretty flower pix. I'm anxious to see what our garden is doing. Strangely, I have no forsythia (well, not so strange, most years we wouldn't see it bloom).
