My daughter got a talking doll for her birthday. You can select from several nicknames what the doll will call you. To my surprise, she chose “Jelly Bean.”
Only one worked, the star name, Midnight Lewerenz. More a silent star name. And I realized I don’t know either of my grandfather’s first names.

De, my biological named the dog Pickles – no one is sure why – but he was a sweetie of a ginormous pooch. A mix between a lab and a Newfoundland, I was able to ride him until I was about four years old. I fully expect him to greet me when I cross over at the end of this life.
Zhoen, most of these are pretty silly, and most of ‘em didn’t really work for me, either. I think my favorite was my Star Wars name. (Oh, and I knew my maternal grandfather’s name without ever really knowing the man; I think I only met him twice).
