I am sure that I will not write as well about t.v. as my gal Kizz does, but I’m going to give it a shot.
Many years ago, Mr. Chili introduced TiVo into our household (pretty much as soon as the thing was commercially available), and we fell immediately in love with it. Thank the Goddess for it, too; I’ve been so wicked busy lately that I’ve not had a chance to watch t.v. at all, much less what we’ve got stacked up on the “now playing” list.
Mr. Chili and I are overly fond of Leverage, and I am enjoying Dark Blue, though I don’t feel as though I HAVE to watch them. They’ll get set aside in favor of some of these others.
I’m looking forward to a new episode of Sons of Anarchy. The latest episode was recorded on Tuesday, and I can’t wait to get to it (and neither can Kiki; she’s a student of mine who’s a HUGE Sons fan, and she practically jitters until I see the latest episode so we can talk about it after class).
We watched the two hour season premiere of House a while back. I’ll be interested to see how the show changes with the lead character off the drugs.
We watched the season premiere of Medium the other day, and I’m so pleased to have that show back on the roster. I love this show for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is their gorgeous depiction of a real family. Joe IS Mr. Chili. I laugh every single episode.
We started watching the new show titled FlashForward. The premise is that one day, for two and a half minutes, every human on the planet blacked out. Some of them saw visions, some didn’t. Now, the race is on to figure out what the blackout signifies, and how everyone’s visions fit together (and whether or not we’re able to change our futures). I think it’s a great premise, and I’m eager to see how it plays out.
The two hour season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy is on the TiVo, and I can’t wait to get to it. In fact, after Sons, it’s the show I most want to see It’s a soap opera, no doubt about it, but that doesn’t stop me from loving it (and not only because it’s populated by people who are very easy to look at).
My problem? I’ve got two stacks of essays to write and three books to read….

Or WAS IT everyone that blacked out for 2 minutes? I can’t wait to find out.
I love Medium and I’m glad it got switched to a different network rather than canclled completely.
I’ve been watching FlashForward and I like the mystery but I’m just afraid it’s going to be like Lost where we go along for the ride but then the ride starts getting goofy and too far-fetched. So I’m watching it but at the first sign it’s going down the same kind of path, I’m outta there.
Oh yeah, and Joe? I love him and think he’s one of the hottest men on television. Yum!
I haven’t watched any new shows this season. I’m trying to cut back on my tv consumption, I watch w-a-y too much.
Jersey and I are watching FlashForward, too. It’s definitely got a chance to be great, so we’ll see how it holds up.
The premise of Flash Forward seems goofy and contrived to me. I watched the debut, and have recorded one or two more episodes. I didn’t last long with Lost or Heroes, and I anticipate the same here.
Medium. We’ve watched it for years, which amazes me since it is really pretty pedestrian. Joe is an incomprehensible character, no matter how solid the proof of his wife’s gift, he fights believing in it (ditto with the idiot detective and DA). Still, we watch.
I’m just glad Fringe is back. I gotta admit that of all the attractive women placed in prominent TV roles, the lady in this show has my vote for easiest to look at. I don’t recall her name, but those who read my rants will know I don’t care about the actors I see, just about the roles/work.
